Questions? We have answers!

  • How do I apply for a unit?

When a unit becomes available, applications are submitted via RentRedi. The first is a prequalification screening, which is free of charge. After that, Beth will reach out to you to get to know you and offer a tour of the units. Next, you will fill out an officia application, which includes a background and credit check. There is a fee associated which goes 100% to RentRedi. Once approved, a deposit equivalent to one month rent is required to secure the unit. We typically have a lot of interest when our units become available - the first approved applicant to place a deposit secures the unit.

  • How often are your units available? Can I be put on a waitlist?

Availability depends. We have several tenants who have lived in the apartments for many years, and some are college students who only rent their unit for a few years. Our tenants must provide a 45-day notice prior to their lease end, so we cannot anticipate openings prior to that timeframe. We are happy to put you on a waitlist, though it is best to check the website and our Facebook page for current openings.

  • Can I tour the apartments?

Yes. Once you have submitted a prequalification form, please reach out to Beth to schedule a tour should you wish to view the apartment grounds and unit in person. To respect our tenants' privacy, we do not allow tours of apartments besides the one that is currently available. We kindly ask for several days' notice, at minimum 24 hours for the current tenant.

  • Are your owners local?

Yes! Our owners/property managers are from Madison, and have been with the lofts since the beginning. Beth and Matt currently reside in Kansas City but return to the family farm every few months.

  • Do you allow pets?

Yes, We love our furry friends! While we do have some breed and weight restrictions; well-mannered, house trained, and vaccinated cats and dogs are welcome at the lofts. One animal per unit is allowed upon a $300 nonrefundable pet deposit. It is important to note that our units have original hardwood floors - any stains, scratches or damage to them can result in extensive repairs to sand and re-stain upon move out. There is a zero tolerance policy with excessive barking, aggressive behavior, or failure to clean up on the outside premesis.
Dr Tom lovingly owned and operated Twin Lakes Animal Clinic for 36 years - we suggest them for all your pet care needs.
